Macallan matures their core range in 100% sherry oak barrels, producing a whisky with layers of flavours. The Macallan's benchmark excellence is nowhere more evident than in the 18 year old. Producer's tasting note: Light mahogany in color, a beautiful bouquet of dried fruits and ginger, with hints of citrus, vanilla and cinnamon. Rich dried fruits on the palate with ample spices, cloves, orange and woody smoke. Full lingering finish with dried fruits and sweet toffee, ginger, and a hint of smokiness.
